DESCRIPTION:Join us for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the Official Kick Off of the Trail Town Desingation for the Marietta Community! \n\n \n The Marietta-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau\, along with community partners\, invites residents and visitors to attend Marietta's IMBA Trail Town Designation Celebration & Recognition Ceremony on Friday\, August 7\, 2026\, at 10:00 a.m. at the East Muskingum Park Gazebo\, 401 Front Street\, Marietta\, Ohio.\n\nThe ceremony marks the official public celebration of Marietta's designation as an IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) Trail Town\, a prestigious recognition awarded to communities that demonstrate a commitment to developing and promoting mountain biking\, outdoor recreation\, and trail-based tourism.\n\nMarietta is proud to be recognized as Ohio's only IMBA Trail Town\, joining a select group of communities across the nation that have earned this distinction.\n\nThe public is invited to join local\, regional\, and state officials\, community leaders\, outdoor recreation partners\, volunteers\, and cycling enthusiasts as the community celebrates this significant milestone.\n\n"This designation is much more than a title\," said Deana Clark\, Executive Director of the Marietta-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau. "It recognizes years of collaboration among the River Valley Mountain Bike Association\, our local governments\, Wayne National Forest\, trail volunteers\, businesses\, and countless community partners.
